Obituary

Brandon E. Sissel, 18, of Davenport, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at home after a courageous battle with bone cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Monday December 3, 2012 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Brandon was born June 13, 1994 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Clint and Leann (Ferring) Sissel. He was a graduate of Davenport North High School in 2012 and was previously employed at the Davenport Menards. He loved playing football for North High School and enjoyed fishing, camping and golf. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Dallas Cowboy fan.

Those left to honor his memory are his parents, Clint and Leann Sissel, Davenport; grandparents, George and Peggy Sissel, DeWitt, Iowa and Paul and Jeanne Ferring, Blue Grass, Iowa; great grandmother, Lillian Sullivan, Davenport; many cousins; and girl friend, Sarah Gilliam, Florida and special friend Jack Nissen, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Ferring; great grandfather, Eugene Sullivan; brother, Joshua Sissel; uncle, Charlie Ferring; and cousin, Aaron Sissel.

Special thanks from the family to University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Genesis Hospice and Dr. Kreiter.
