You had an adventurous spirit. You made it to Hawaii, you camped, hiked, loved rock climbing, backpacking, river rafting, snow boarding, surfing. You attended scout camp, Younglife camp and many family vacations. You accomplished more in your 21 years of life than many have accomplished in three times the lifetime. I will never regret the opportunities we gave you to fulfill your dreams and the love we gave you. I will miss your mischievous smile and that devilish glint to your eyes. January 6th, 2013 my world stopped. I lost my protector, my advice giver, my go to guy. I lost the best hugger, the man who was suppose to teach me all of life's little lessons, the person I have looked up to since the day I was born. I lost my big brother Brandton Cleve Funk. He was my rock and my world. My cousin told me the other day that I had lost my sidekick and I couldn't help but think that I was HIS sidekick and he was my Superhero. B was an amazing man and he had so much left to do for himself and for me and for everyone else in his life. My heart has been destroyed and I'm not sure how I will get through this, but I will do it for him. I know he is still my protector just as my guardian angel. It's just different and right now the different doesn't seem good. I'll never forget the story of him praying for me every night when he was 3 asking for a baby sister. Or when I was little and being a brat and threw my stuffed animal three times on the floor and mom threw it away and B dug through the trash for it. Or the time he chased me down the river in a full sprint while I was on the raft shaking from hypothermia. He was amazing and he still is. To put it simply I my my everything.
With all my Love, Alainya

"B- Just thinking of you today, missing you. Wanted you to know you're in my thoughts and that I love you. Aunt Chris"
