Breana Lynn Carasik-McGee was a very entertaining person that her friends enjoyed being around. She had a corny personality that would lighten the room. She knew with certainty how she wanted to set priorities in all aspects of her life. Breana was most comfortable with a very active lifestyle. Breana made time to go to school, the tanning bed, shopping and always made sure her nails looked pretty in acrylics and always making time for work.

Her parents were Debra Carasik and Steve McGee. Breana was born in West Hills, California and raised in North Las Vegas, Nevada by her mother, Debra. Breana was raised that education was very important and a valuable lesson in life. Breana was taught responsibility daily as it was just the two of them. Breana had an older half brother, Steven that was raised in California but they were able to keep contact.

As a young girl, she took part in tae kwon do. She was a Girl Scout. In her spare time she liked shopping. Breana's memorable achievements included an English Honor Student in Junior High and High School. In High School she was a teacher’s aide and a tutor to other students. Breana was able to create a system for getting her class work done in a proper and timely manner. While Breana was completing her High School education she was also completing Independent studies to get all her credits to graduate early. While keeping busy with school work and working she always kept time for herself and would always make time to see her friends. She graduated from Legacy High School in 2011, a year earlier than expected, she then attended one semester at the College of Southern Nevada and was currently enrolled in Kaplan College for Medical Billing and Coding.

In a group of friends and acquaintances, Breana’s bubbly personality always showed. She would always make people laugh. She was a person that everyone wanted to be around. This same quality brought Breana the reward of many friends. Breana had a heart of gold and was always there when her friends called her. Breana would like to celebrate the many accomplishments of her own as well as her friends. While growing up, some of her best friends were Mercedes, Christina, Jasmine, Cierra and Chelsea.

At work Breana was viewed as a fun person to be around and work with. Her bubbly outgoing personality was exhibited by her occupation as a Sky Jump Clerk. She was employed for 7 months at the Stratosphere. She also was employed at Vision Airlines in North Las Vegas for 1 1/2 years while going to school part time. Nancee, her manager was quoted stating “That amazing spark and eagerness just captured my heart right off the bat, even in her resume! When she showed up for the interview and I realized how young she was, I was amazed. She was the youngest person we ever hired by our company, and she never let me down! What a joyful soul and breath of fresh air for all of us!! Oh, and funny...she was so intimidated by her math proficiency test, but by far the best I have ever had at running and balancing a till! Hers was always so good. We all crammed for the proficiency test with her! She just has that effect on us! As a manager, Breana taught me to be more light hearted and as a individual she made me grow and look at things differently as well. I feel very privileged to have had the time I did with Breana.”

Breana was a very smart girl and she used this ability to manipulate her mother. This was shown when she brought home her cat Marley. Breana was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. They were best friends for Marley for 2 years and her dog Bella for 4 years. Her family was rounded out by 2 dogs Hailey and Bella and her cat Marley.

Breana passed away on May 22, 2012 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her mother Debra Carasik, her father Steve McGee, her half brother Steven, her aunt Gina and uncle Brian, her aunt Shana, her cousins Erica and Samirah, her grandfather Joel and grandma Charla. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary.
