I want to start off this guest book by thanking everyone that had a part in my mom's life. She cherished the relationships she had. As you can imagine these past few days have been so hard. I for one was not ready to let my mom go but the Lord had other plans. I am so thankful for the way she loved me. Her love shaped the way I love my kids. Mom had such a good (or weird) sense of humor. Thanks to her I am petrified of mice....she used to chase us kids around with a dead mouse hanging from a trap. Pretty much like grandad did to granny with a dead snake. I hate scary movies because she use to grab me during the scary parts. I can laugh about all this now-but I still don't watch those types of movies. She and my Aunt Dorothy always had this competition on who the favorite child was...so this started between my brother and I (I still say I am the favorite). I'll always remember the nights she played double dutch jump rope in the middle of the street on a summers night with the neighborhood girls or playing red rover red rover. I swear nothing made her happier than to playfully tease people-like my husband. I will never make broccoli cheese soup or eat coconut candy without thinking of her. I am so blessed to have these memories of my mom and so many more. Our family's loss is certainly heaven's gain. Thanks to God's promise of life after death I will see her again. Until then she will save a place in heaven awaiting our reunion. I love you mom.
