I first met Brenda when she was my dorm supervisor my first year at BJU. Years later our paths crossed again when she was taking grad courses, working toward her doctorate and I my master's.
As a cancer survivor myself, it always grabs at my heart when I hear that someone -- even people I don't know -- succumb to this disease.
God is great; Brenda no longer is dealing with disease.
God's comfort, may it still be being felt by all who loved her

Back in 1999 when my oldest child ( we homeschool) was entering high school we subscribed to BJU link. Miss Ball was her teacher. Homeschool families were allowed to record the classes for use with their other children. I have 6 kids! My youngest is now taking biology and is watching Miss Ball from the 1999 class videos. My 6 kids have all loved her class! One has gone on to major in biology in college. I'm so thankful for her encouragement to my kids (via BJU biology) to become the best students they could possibly be for the Lord! Also, her Class lectures always pointed students to the glory of God. We looked online today to see where she is now and what she is doing. What a shock to find out she has passed! Praise God for her life and she was such a blessing to our family! She is home with her Lord in heaven! We are thankful to God for the impact she has had on shaping the minds of our children to see The glory of God in biology.

I was a young academy student when Brenda was in grad school and working as a dorm supervisor. Though I tested her many times, she was always so gracious and patient. She made a lasting impression on me, and I have often remembered her many kindnesses over the years. She was a gem of a lady. She will be missed.

I went to Alaska in 1988 with the BJU group and Brenda was on the trip. I remember her as being friendly and sweet and a good testimony of God's grace. I'm sorry to hear of her passing, but I know she's enjoying a sweet time of fellowship and good health with her Savior.

Brenda was my high school teacher many years ago. She had a positive impact and was a godly example to me as a teenager. I know she is happy, healthy and would not come back even if she could. I am so thankful to have known her!! I am praying for the family during this difficult time.

Don: the friendship of Brenda and you has been a special treasure for me. I will miss Brenda's smile and humor. I look forward to seeing her again. You continue to be in my prayers that our God will sustain you and your family and rely on the fact that " absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord". Hugs, Fred

So thankful that we know that Brenda is praising her Savior face to face! She will be missed by so many people. Brenda and Don were such encourages to Tim as he fought his cancer battle along side of Brenda. She was always praying and sending encouraging notes during her own difficult battle. Praying for her dear family that she cherished!
