IRMO – Brian Daniel Corley, 35, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, March 10, 2012, surrounded by his immediate family, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
Mr. Corley was born January 15, 1977 in Columbia, SC to Dwight C. and the late Ann H. Corley of Lexington. He was a 1995 graduate of Lexington High School, and a 1999 graduate of The University of South Carolina – Honors College.
Mr. Corley is survived by his father, Dwight C. Corley, of Lexington, maternal grandparents, J.W. and Rose Hendrix, of Lexington; brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Cathy Corley, of Fort Mill; and his two best buddies, nephews Scott and John Corley of Fort Mill. He is additionally survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Ann Hendrix Corley, and his paternal grandparents, John Day and Gladys Corley.
Brian enjoyed traveling, and was able to visit many locations in Europe and North America. He had a keen interest in classic and antique vehicles, especially vintage Volkswagens. He also enjoyed vintage motorcycles, with a specific interest in British and European bikes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made available to the American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge Facilities, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or Nazareth Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, 1800 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC.
