Biography

When someone is identified as a natural leader, certain images come to mind. First thoughts are of a no-nonsense, tough-minded, dedicated and disciplined person. This description accurately fits Brooklynn Mae Mohler who was indeed a born manager. She will be remembered as being highly organized, practical and realistic. She was a person who always carried a strong sense of duty with her throughout her life. Possessed with traditional “old school” morals, Brooklynn was an individual who clearly communicated to those around her just who she was and what she was all about. Everyone acquainted with Brooklynn knew her as a well-respected girl who was a stable force in her community.       Brooklynn was born on March 29, 2000 at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV. Her parents were Jacob and Darchel Mohler. Brooklynn was raised in Las Vegas. Even as a youngster, Brooklynn learned to be objective and decisive. Her faith in the principles of authority and dependability was something that she carried with her throughout her life.       As a young girl, Brooklynn was able to put her natural abilities to work.

She was a bit like the sergeant of the family, helping to make sure that the others did what they should do and that they avoided those things they weren’t supposed to. In other words, she liked to organize and direct. Brooklynn was raised with two siblings. She had an older brother Levi, and a younger sister Madisson. Brooklynn had an inborn appreciation for the order in the family, allowing for the oldest members to be the most respected and to take on the most responsibility. For Brooklynn, this was a natural order of life, one she gladly embraced.

Brooklynn did not get the chance to attend high school, but enjoyed many things about school. She was a perpetual Honor Roll student.

Brooklynn's matter-of-fact attitude about most things was developed during her childhood. Brooklynn enjoyed being part of teams, and organizations and groups of other kids who shared similar interests. Brooklynn took part in dance, gymnastics, and played violin. She was a Gymcat. In her spare time she liked to practice teaching her younger sister and cousins. Brooklynn's memorable achievements included becoming student Class President in the 5th grade. She also excelled in gymnastics and won 3rd overall in her first competition. She won first overall soon after and more than once.

Growing up Brooklynn had so many friends. Kaitlyn Lucas, Dallas Mahan, Skylar Jones, Morgan Shirley, and Morgan Ellsworth are just a few that she had from Joseph Neil Elementary. After moving she acquired many more friends like Vaite Stradowski and Jayden Darling. There were really too many friends to list.

Brooklynn was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of Brooklynn’s favorites was Baron, a German Shepherd. They were best friends for 13 years. Her family was rounded out by her rescue dogs Bella and Lady.

Brooklynn passed away on June 4, 2013 at University Medical Center, in Las Vegas, NV. She died as the result of an accidental shooting. She is survived by her parents Jacob and Darchel, and siblings Levi and Madisson. Brooklynn was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary and Cemetery at 6701 N. Jones Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

All who knew her would agree that Brooklynn was a pillar of the community. She lived her life with her feet firmly on the ground. She had a strong work ethic, was pragmatic in her thoughts and acts, and constantly sought the means for self-improvement. She was willing to share her ideas and knowledge for the benefit of others, so that they could accomplish more in their lives. Brooklynn Mae Mohler did her best to ensure that her family, friends, loved ones, and everyone whose life she touched was given the chance to become a better person.
