Rev. Bruce Davis age 66 was born March 2, 1950 and departed this life November 23, 2016. He was born again at the age of 8 years old at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member til his death. At the age of 12 years old he received a call from God to the gospel ministry and announced that calling on November 10, 1977. He remained faithful to his calling for 39 years. He pastored churches, Piney Grove, Lone Hill, Yellow Springs, Cedar Flat, Pleasant Valley, Brewers Chapel, Mt. Pisgah and Davis Chapel. He helped hold a number of revivals in many churches and shared the gospel of peace with many people and led many to CHRIST. He was married to Susie Ada Ruth Mathis on July 17, 1971 and to this union were born 9 children. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years Susie; by his father and mother, Rev. Thea and Velma Davis; grandson William Tony Davis; sister Lorraine Greer; infant son David Allen Davis.
He is survived by his brothers: Ralph and Marie Davis

He is also survived by his children: Myra Davis

Ralph and Ashely Davis
Grandchildren: Kendra & Kieara Rhea, Elizabeth Davis, Zachary Fietz, Haley, Shanna, Elijah Russell, Brady Seal, Shane Smart, Abigail, Emily and Samuel Davis, Joseph McAfee and Nathaniel Davis
And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Bruce was a kindly affectionate man who loved people and had never met a stranger in his life. He loved GOD and without doubt GOD loved Him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 9 P.M. Saturday November 26, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Sunday morning November 27, 2016 at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial in the Wilson Cemetery
