Bruce David Armstrong
Peacefully at Centennial Place, Millbrook on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of Floris Jean (nee Campbell) for 59 years (October 24, 1953). Dear Dad of Lynn Marie and her husband the late Art Froste (2010), Leisa Rae and her husband Randy Saunders and Leslie Ann Armstrong and her husband Graham McGregor. Cherished Grandpa of Tyler, Brittney and Ryan Saunders & Madison Black. Survived by his sister Margaret Widdis; predeceased by his parents David L. and Lula Myrtle Armstrong; siblings Thelma Yarn, Earl Armstrong, Eileen (Tiny) Kinsman and Phyllis Cummings. David was uncle of Shirley McGill, Roger Armstrong (Pat), Julie Thompson (Ron), Joan Hawkins (Paul), Michael Armstrong (Monica), Suzanne Kinsman, the late Peter Kinsman (Sonia), Maxine Cummings, Garry Campbell (Terry), Doug Campbell (Marlene) the late Rick Campbell, Bonnie Allen (late Bill), Brent Campbell (Pat), Pat Campbell (Rod Cronkwright). David is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. In keeping with David's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed at 2:00 pm by a memorial service on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by David's family. I hold some great memories of Lynn's dad - as we were growing up he always played the 'tough guy' role - but deep down we all knew what a softie he really was.
