Bruce Rodger Williamson, of Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, June 09, 2014, at home, surrounded by family and friends. He fought a courageous 6-year battle with prostate cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. Williamson and Eleanor M. Williamson. He is survived by his brother, Rodney C. Williamson (Karen); niece, Katie Carswell (Jeremy); nephew, John Williamson (Kate); friends: The Beasleys; Shannon and Betty; Kenny, Tammy and Shawni; and Susie. He will be missed by his faithful German shepherd companion, King.
Bruce was born in Hartford, CT. He graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1967. He proudly served in the United States Army. Bruce had a passion for the outdoors throughout his life, particularly enjoying beaches.

A memorial service will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 4pm, with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment at Bayview Memorial Park will take place privately at a later time. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.er the direction of Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, Pensacola, FL.

Bruce was quite a Conservatist, and believed in helping Mother Earth.
I was his neighbor, since he move to Walton Street, and had many a conversation about the cayotes that were in his back yard and under his bedroom window at full moon.
He was very courageous and will be missed. God Bless Bruce an he finally has found peace.
