Burl Mixon was born in Conroe to Robert E. Mixon Sr. and Betty Wallace Mixon on November 16, 1960. He graduated from Conroe High School in May of 1979. Burl attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1983. He was a member of Mims Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, reading and walking in the park. Burl was preceded in death by his farther Robert E. Mixon Sr. He is survived by his Mother Betty, his Brother Robert E. Burl passed away March 31, 2012 in Mesquite Texas, at age 51.
Visitation will be on Saturday, the 7th of April 2012, at 9:00 AM in the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery.
