Caesar is lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his unique straightforward character and sensibilities. His life experience gave him an acute ability to focus on what was truly important and brush aside the rest. His love of God and family was always evident. In his own words, "God led me on many wondrous paths, led me through thousands of dangers, and bestowed upon me good health, and he has also coined my inner life by means of faith, hope, and love." His life was truly a wonder and example of God's grace. His accounts of family and personal history are much appreciated gifts that leave a rich and enduring memory of Caesar. "As much as I keep pondering about all my life experiences, as truthfully and all-encompassing I am attempting to put them to paper, Love and Happiness are a gift from Heaven that not even the tongues of angels can describe."

I will miss him so much. I still remember when I visited him in Arizona for the first time and he showed me all the interesting sites there. He was a very nice and joyful uncle for me. My sister Julia and I loved to play Uno with him and we could not stop playing it when he visited us in Germany.

We will miss our "Onkel Caesar". He has been a part of my life since he arrived in Gummersbach(Germany) in 1949. He was always ready to help. Especially after immigration to the US, he helped the Hohensee family to adjust. We had good times together on trips to Gummersbach and to his hometown in Poland and many other places. We will never forget him!

As the family goes through the valley of grief, loss and sorrow may the powerful comfort of God's Holy Spirit give you all strength and peace! We are thankful for the memory of a godly man. His leadership role at Immanuel was deeply appreciated by both my husband, Peter and me! Loving memories of our very short time in ministry there. Grace and mercy for every new day!
