Callie Oneta Price Davis, 78, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at a local medical center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd St., Abilene. Burial will follow in Drummond Cemetery, 252 County Road 316, Abilene, TX, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Callie was born March 18, 1935, to George Lafayette Price and Callie May Griffin Price, in Merkel, TX. She attended Trent High School. She married Norman Wade Davis in Abilene, TX October 26, 1951. She retired from Wylie Schools in 1986, where she was a lunchroom cook.
Callie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman "Wade" Davis; a daughter, Kathy McDowell; a grandson, Casey McDowell; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her three sons, Jimmy Davis, Norman Davis, and William Davis all of Abilene; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Davis, Kevin McDowell, Chris Davis, Michael Davis, Johnathan Davis and Gregory Davis.
