Obituary

Gaddis, Calvin James, Sr. age 91 of Roebuck Springs, AL went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2012. He was a U. S. Army, 7th Cavalry WWII veteran. He worked with L&N Railroad, Dolly Madison and retired from Vulcan Metal. He is a faithful member of Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church and Bendale Masonic Lodge NO. 773. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His life revolved around his family. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Flowers; brother, Raymond Gaddis; parents, Raymond and Georgia Gaddis. Calvin is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Gaddis; children, Barbara Flowers, Bonnie Louise Gaddis and Calvin (Lila) Gaddis, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephen Flowers, Joel Gaddis, and Luke Gaddis; sister, Emily Ruth Alexander. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at Wilson Chapel. A committal service will be Monday, December 24, 2012 at 10 AM at Forest Crest Cemetery.
