Carl Dean Peak, age 80 of Castle Rock, CO., passed away October 9th 2016. He was Born in Madrid, Nebraska on March 25th, 1936 to Bruce and Grace (Lawson) Peak.
Carl graduated from Elsie High School in 1955. After high school, Carl attended barber college in Omaha Nebraska and enjoyed a brief career as a barber. He was married to Phyllis Steudler in 1959. He later married Joyce Pickett in 1981. Carl spent much of his working life as a farmer and rancher. He also spent several years working in highway construction.
He was a member of the Paxton Lions Club. Carl enjoyed camping, fishing and joining Joyce on her horseback riding adventures.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Castle Rock, CO, Sons Vance Peak of Paxton, NE and Michael Peak and his wife Kelly of Kearney, NE, their children, Tory of Omaha, NE and Sydney of Kearney, NE. Stepsons, Kenny Pickett of Denver, his children Hunter and Madison, Troy, his wife Emily of Denver, CO grandchildren, Colin, Abbie, Emma and Ella of Denver. Sisters, Norma Fitzpatrick and her husband Seth of Imperial, NE and Verna and her husband Duane Stiverson of Waukesha, WI. in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by is parents, Daughter-in-Law, Kristi, Granddaughter Rhiannon and nephew Dary,
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 14th at Creekside Bible Church in Castle Rock.
