Obituary

Carl Richard Belsi (formerly Belpulsi), 74, of Jordan, passed away on Thursday at the Francis House. A Syracuse native, Carl also resided in Rochester, NY and California for 28 years. He graduated from North High School and attended Syracuse University. A graduate of the Xerox International Center for Training and Management Development (XICTMD) in Leesburg, VA, he worked as a Systems Analyst, Manager, and Sales Representative for Xerox Corporation for 38 years. Carl Richard Belsi (formerly Belpulsi), 74, of Jordan, passed away on Thursday at the Francis House. A Syracuse native, Carl also resided in Rochester, NY and California for 28 years. He graduated from North High School and attended Syracuse University. A graduate of the Xerox International Center for Training and Management Development (XICTMD) in Leesburg, VA, he worked as a Systems Analyst, Manager, and Sales Representative for Xerox Corporation for 38 years. His favorite pastime was jazz music. A largely self-taught musician he studied under Tony Riposo. Carl was a jazz pianist and played the saxophone in the U.S. Army Band, having served his country proudly. He also played the piano in Syracuse, Rochester and Southern California with the "Senior Class" big band and Moorpark College Band, Moorpark, CA. Truly, Carl was a renaissance man who loved a challenge. With persistence and determination, he could solve most issues in his professional and personal life. He was the consummate fighter. He is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Josephine Belpulsi and brother, Michael Belpulsi.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Constance (Morton) Belsi (formerly Dowling); step-daughter, Laurel M. Dowling of Fayetteville, NY; devoted sister, Annette (Nick) Cerrone (formerly Sister Maria Regina) of North Syracuse; sister-in-law, Joan Belpulsi of Virginia; mother-in-law, Louise R. Morton of Ithaca, NY; beloved Pekingese, Gemma; treasured friend, Angela Attili of Syracuse, NY; niece, Stephanie (Gregory) Walker of Virginia and several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
