I remember Preacher Byrd from Thomaston Road. I was a boy then but I know that Preacher Byrd was one of the positive influences of my life that later lead to my acceptance of Jesus. Mrs. Aline, Carlene, and Karen you are in our prayers.

The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved your dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

To the Byrd family,
I am so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I want you to know that your family are in our prayers. Just know that Carl is not alone. Him and Papa are probably having a good time in heaven.

Aline, Carlene, Karen, Eloise and families.
We have all been blessed by sharing the life of Carl. My prayers are with each of you in days ahead adjusting to the vacant feeling of his physical presence with each of you as you knew him. I know Heaven was rejoicing as he crossed that great divide. "Amazing Grace" how sweet the sound.
