Big Brother C, been thinking about you all week. It has been a little solemn down here but we know you are doing well. It's us having the problem of you starting a new journey without us and I envy you so much because I know you have seen so many beautiful things that we could never imagine. Feel free to send me any thoughts you would like to share with me and others, I will pass it on for you, and see if you have any pull to get me a one way ticket to come up and say hello to everyone including JMJ. I miss seeing and squeezing you with a big hug and tickling your tummy.
Love you my sweet brother and I promise I will not forget you and your beautiful laugh.

Carl's smile and unconditional love will be in my memories of him forever. What a shock to learn of his passing. Stephanie, my Foster Care provider called me last night. She loved Carl, too. Anita and I would have attended the funeral, but we learned of it too late. You were always such a devoted Mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was Carl's teacher at The Center over 20 years ago, and while I was only with him for a short while, the time that I spent with Carl profoundly changed my life. His smile and humor, his love of people and all of gods creatures, his devotion to our catholic faith, and his vast knowledge on many subjects, including but not limited to: Houston Oilers, Graduates of St. Thomas High School, Where to get the best meatball sandwiches in the city and always my favorite, where the pretty girls ran at Memorial Park. God sent us an angle who saw the world the way we should all see it, as a place full of nothing but unconditional love. My sympathies to Ms. Josie and all of the Ditta Family.

I never had the honor of meeting Carl, but I had the distinct pleasure of knowing his grandmother Katherine Carrabba. Katherine and I worked together at Battelstein's for many years, and all must know her welcoming arms are there for Carl. I also remember Carl's cousin, Judy Tamborello Orlando; and with her memories and prayers, Carl will be fine.

My sweet Carl. You were a very special cousin to me. We were only 6 weeks apart. I loved all the great yearly birthdays parties your Mom and Daddy had for you. I am going to miss you. You are an angel in heaven. Remember you can have all the honey buns and diet cokes and we won't be keeping an eye on you to make sure you had too many. God Bless and I pray for Aunt Josie, Franny, Mark, Louis, Elda, Andrew , Ryan , Alexa and Angelica. I know y'all will miss him dearly but he is in heaven now. Love you

To my Ditta and Carrabba cousins, I am deeply sadden to hear of the passing of sweet Carl. I will always remember that smile and the memory he had of cousins names and his sports. I was always so happy when his grandmother (my Aunt Katherine) would bring him to Bryan to visit his Uncle Vincent and us girls, we all loved him so much and he loved us in return and always showed it. Josie Frances I have always admired you on how well you took care of him and how you made his life a good one. Frannie and Louis what great siblings you were to him and sharing him when he would come visit us.....
Please know that you all will be in my prayers and thoughts and Carl is now your sweet angel watching over you all. God Bless. Carl you will be missed but never forgotten. RIP

Carl was a special angel sent by God to all of us. I remember when he was born. It had been a long time since there was a new baby so close to us.
From the beginning, we all knew that Carl would not be like other children. But, he could do so much more than we all thought that he could. Carl blessed so many lives. But, the main reason Carl was able to thrive was because of the love that his parents showed him. They were determined that Carl would not miss out on anything. Carl was also blessed with wonderful grandparents, who loved and nurtured him as much as they could. He thrived in his environment and could make everyone happier who came within his realm.
Carl was very special to me. We sent him cards whenever we traveled and he never failed to thank me and ask about my girls. He had the uncanny ability to remember who went with whom in the Carrabba Family. My husband, who has been in this large Italian family, for over 40 years, could not do as well as Carl. .....Yes, Carl, I will remember you. I am sure your Dad, who you so greatly missed, is opening his arms to you right now. God Bless!
