Carlo Bruno - Tribute

Carlo was born on July 18, 1926 in Fairview, New Jersey and moved to California when he was 17. He was a 1944 graduate of Chaffey High School, Ontario, CA and served in the United States Army from 1944-1946.
His father, Carlo Bruno, Sr. passed away before he was born. His mother Mary remarried a few years later to Fred D'Amico who raised him as his own son. He has one sister Connie Hart who resides in Apple Valley, CA.
He retired from Chino Community Hospital and worked several years in the garment industry and was a union member for I.L.G.W.U., Local 270.
He spent most of his life raising 5 children on his own and helped often with his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
He loved singing in the church choir (great voice) and taught Bible school on Sundays.
He married for the second time, "Marge" the love of his life and his family grew from 5 children to 8, not to mention the addition of numerous grandchildren. They had 21 wonderful years together.
He was very saddened when she passed away in 2009. Several months prior, they lost their daughter, Patricia Parisi, due to cancer.
He was devastated when his youngest son Carlo passed away due to cancer at the age of 40 in 1998 and the loss of his mother in 1997. He was very devoted to her.
His passion was ballroom dancing and won numerous competitions throughout his life and danced until he was 80. He enjoyed Lawrence Welk as well as music from the Big Band Era.
However, the real love of his life was family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He treated each family member equally, never distinguishing children from stepchildren.
His kindness towards others and tenderheartedness will be remembered by all who knew him.
We would like to thank family and friends for all the kindness, support and love throughout his life. He was well deserving of it. He will be truly missed.
We Love you "Dad" and you leave us with many wonderful memories.
Darlynn, Carolynn, Freddy, Johnny, Eddie and Tim
