Obituary

Carlos Garcia, 84 of Land O' Lakes and formerly of NYC, NY entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care, Zephyrhills. He was a USPS employee for thirty years in Manhattan, NY. The son of the late Leocadio and Marcelina (Hernandez) Garcia, he was born on March 29, 1930 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Carlos was proud to serve our country during the Korean War as a member of the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion. Carlos was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who were able to be a part of his life....

The son of the late Leocadio and Marcelina (Hernandez) Garcia, he was born on March 29, 1930 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Carlos was proud to serve our country during the Korean War as a member of the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion.
Carlos was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who were able to be a part of his life.
He leaves behind family and friends to cherish his memory including: a son, Eddie O. Garcia and his wife, Martha; a daughter, Rachel Garcia; grandchildren, Jason, Elyse, Angel, Jose, Sebastian and Alexandra; his sisters, Luz Casavo, Ida Elizabeth Casavo and Margod Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited on Tuesday, September 2 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4224 Madison St., New Port Richey for a Celebration of Carlos' life. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 in Celebration Hall at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the VFW Post 10167.
