LTCOL.Carlton T. Marsh USAF Retired, 87, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 14, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Richlands where he served on the church board and a trustee. Carlton was a well known inventor and entrepreneur. He served in the USAF for twenty three plus years. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Lois Marsh; his first wife: Helen W. Marsh; son: Carlton T. LTCOL.Carlton T. Marsh USAF Retired, 87, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 14, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Richlands where he served on the church board and a trustee. Carlton was a well known inventor and entrepreneur. He served in the USAF for twenty three plus years. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Lois Marsh; his first wife: Helen W. Marsh; son: Carlton T. Marsh, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, Richlands with Dr. Gary Edens and Reverend Eddie Phenix officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Gethsemane Memorial Park in Morehead City with Military Honors.

He is survived by his wife: Faye Huffman Mercer Marsh; son: John David Marsh of Newport, NC; step son: Joseph S. Mercer (Lorri) of Asheville, NC; daughter: Carol Marsh of Moncks Corner, SC; step daughters: Pamela McCandless (Paul) of Jacksonville, NC, Joan Bostic of Jacksonville, NC; sisters: Shirley Temples of Slidell, La., Dorothy Halsey (John) of Raleigh; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at First Christian Church, Richlands.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Richlands or the Wounded Warriors Project.
