WILSON, The Reverend Deacon Donald Carman – March 2, 1936 – August 9, 2014 It is with great sadness that Carman's family announces his peaceful passing at daybreak on August 9. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his beloved daughter Tracy, son-in-law Alex Truman and Tracy's mother Shirley Wedderburn. He will be greatly missed by his step children; Andrea and her partner Christopher Ashley and Robyn; and by his step grandchildren: Noah, Arielle, Chloe and Gabe. WILSON, The Reverend Deacon Donald Carman – March 2, 1936 – August 9, 2014
It is with great sadness that Carman's family announces his peaceful passing at daybreak on August 9. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his beloved daughter Tracy, son-in-law Alex Truman and Tracy's mother Shirley Wedderburn. He will be greatly missed by his step children; Andrea and her partner Christopher Ashley and Robyn; and by his step grandchildren: Noah, Arielle, Chloe and Gabe. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Bessie Wilson (Johnson), his brother Danny Wilson, his sister Pauline Hochreiter and brother-in-law Timothy Blish. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Maggie (Dan Bemis), Cindy Miller, Linda Blish and brother-in-law Ed Blish.
Carman taught high school geography and was department head at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute into the mid 1980's. After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto, and extensive training at the Hamilton Pastoral Counseling Centre (Hamilton-Wentworth), Carman embarked on a new career in ministry specializing in pastoral care and counseling. He was ordained Deacon in the Anglican Church and served as parish deacon at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hamilton where he concentrated on care of elderly parishioners.
His family wishes to express particular thanks to Dr. Bryan Alton for his dedicated medical care, to Dr. William Heidary for his dedicated chiropractic care and to the supportive staff of Emmanuel House, Hamilton.

A celebration of Carman's life and Requiem Eucharist will take place at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, (Locke Street South and Charlton Avenue, Hamilton) on Friday September 5, 2014 at 2pm. A reception will follow in the Lidgey Room.
