Carmine J. Cillo, 65, of Sarasota, Florida, died on March 5, 2015, at his home.
He was born on March 9, 1949, in Williamsport, PA, the son of Gino J. Cillo and Carmela M. (Mignano) Cillo.
Carmine was a graduate of Loyalsock High School and Mansfield University.
As a young man, Carmine worked in his father's plumbing and heating business. After college, he taught science at a middle school in Camden , NY. Carmine worked for printing companies in New York and Florida.
At the time of his death, Carmine was employed by Home Depot in Sarasota.
Carmine was gentle and kind, and always willing to help others. He was trustworthy and reliable. He was creative; Carmine spent hours making his "Silly Sagas, by Unki" for his family to enjoy.
Carmine loved his family. They were very important to him.
Survivors include a brother, Eugene(Jeannie) Cillo, of Jersey Shore; a sister, Carol (Ralph) Ruoff, of Sarasota; three nieces, Denise Hoffman, of Fairfax, VA, Joann Slattery, of Annandale, VA, and Lisa (Michael)Jameson, of Jersey Shore, and one nephew, James (Kimberly) Slattery, of Irvine, CA; three great-nieces, Emily Slattery, Rachel Hoffman, and Amanda Jameson; three great-nephews, Dalton Slattery, Brandon Jameson, and Cameron Lehman, and numerous cousins.
Carmine was predeceased by his parents.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Avenue, Jersey Shore, withReverend Bert Kozen, Pastor, officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carmine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, Tribute number 37942473 PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis TN 38148
