Carol Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 11, 2017.

Carol was born to Walter and Tressa Sparks, January 28, 1924. Our dear sweet mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left us September 8, 2017 to be with her sweetheart Wendell. They were married October 22, 1947 and spent 69 great years together and now eternity.
She is survived by her loving children, Terry (Denice) Anderson, Les (Judy) Anderson, Pam (Ken) Cazier and Greg (Jill) Anderson, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchidren. Preceded in death by her eternal companion, her parents, sister Beverly and brother LaVon.
Services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. at the Kearns Stake Center, 420 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT.
Mom had many skills and worked really hard thru her life. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed almost anything. She made curtains for our home, decorative pillows, tailored suits and dresses for herself, dresses and clothes for us kids. She also sewed many, many neckerchiefs for the boy scouts while dad served as the scout master.
Mom was a great cook. She made the best lemon meringue pies, date nut cookies, cream cheese cookies, divinity, and a fruit cake that was actually really good to eat. She canned everything; peaches, pears, cherries, beets and jams of every kind. Mom worked really hard at raising us kids, keeping a clean home, washing clothes and ironing just about everything, cooking and gardening.
Mom and dad did a lot of traveling in their truck and camper. Many fishing trips and Yellowstone trips. One summer they drove to each county seat in the state of Utah to collect a stamp of the county and they really had a lot of fun doing this.
Mom loved the color red, the color pink, flowers, birds, Lily Putt Lane Houses, her yard and the great outdoors. Most of all she loved her family and she would always give everyone a kiss goodbye when they left. She always put her hands on the little ones cheeks and just loved them all. We will all miss you mom, we love you, thank you for everything.
