Carol Bigbee-Jacobs died peacefullv on October 4 after a seven-vear battle with cancer. Carol was born in Marengo.. lowa, on September 3, 1944, on her family's farm. After graduating from Iowa State University in Ames, Carol came to New York in 1967 and began a successful career in Interior De- sign
and retired as a Vice President for AFD Contract Furniture. Carol is survived bv her husbond of 50 years Paul Jacobs, daughter-in-law Laura, her step- children Jordana, Erik, two loving grandchildren Margo and William, her brothers Marvin and Harlan and their families, and many loving friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Walter B. Cooke Funeral Home at 352 East 87th St. from 10 to 11am on Friday October 13, after which she will be laid to rest at Salem Fields Cemetery in Brooklvn.

So sad to hear of Carol's passing. Was fortunate enough to know her many years from 221 E. 78th st. She was always kind and our many times at Chinatown dinners with Paul and Dana and family. Love to the family

I knew Carol through art. For a few years, a half-dozen of us would meet weekly at the Carter-Burden Center to explore watercolors. "Explore" is the right word for Carol, for whom every painting was an adventure. I am saddened by the news of her passing and send sincere condolences to her family.
