Carol Proffitt, age 61, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Beverly Park Place. She was a 1974 graduate of Carter High School and formerly employed by TVA. Carol loved her cats and music. Preceded in death by her father, Nathan Proffitt; and brother, Neil Proffitt. Survivors include mother, Anna Proffitt; brother, Mark Proffitt; aunt, Betty Branson; uncle, Arthur Davis; nieces, Elicia Proffitt, Deetra Proffitt; and several cousins and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am interment. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com
