Bailey, Carol J., 81, of Lighthouse Point, FL, passed away on November 5, 2009. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD to Raymond and Gladys Quinn. Carol graduated from University of South Dakota earning a Communications Degree. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Carol was Miss South Dakota of 1949 and participated in the Miss America Pageant. She has been a resident of South Florida since 1959. Carol was a PEO sister since 1953 and a member of Royal Palm Yacht and Lighthouse Point Yacht Clubs. Predeceased by her granddaughter Jennifer. Survived by her husband Dean R. Bailey; her children, Kevin (Barbara) of Lighthouse Point, Thomas (Nancy) of Georgia, Jean Roberts of Ft.Lauderdale, Terri Householder of Lighthouse Point and Mary Kay (William) Shaw of CO., grandchildren, Quinn, Melissa, Leigh, Christopher, Mark, Dianne, Megan, Jake, Bailey and Shannon, great-grandchildren, Connor, Anthony and Joe; sisters, Kathleen Steinmetz of S. Dakota and Patricia Fletcher of CO. Visitation will be Monday, November 9, at Kraeer Funeral Home from 6-8 pm with a 7 pm Wake Service. Catholic Mass at 9 am Tuesday, November 10, at St. Paul The Apostle Church in Lighthouse Point followed by entombment in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in N. Lauderdale.
