CarolAnn Williams Silva Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 9, 2013.

The Family of Steve A. Silva is sad to report the death of CarolAnn Williams Silva, who passed away peacefully on the morning of December 8, 2013, in Merrimack, New Hampshire, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 62 years. As a resident of Hollis, New Hampshire, CarolAnn was actively involved and supported the USO and the Wounded Warrior Program. Among her many accomplishments, she was the Program Manager for Hanscom Air Force Base and for the U.S. Senate, under the Sargent of Arms William H. Pickle. She continued her career with NASA at the Dryden Flight Research Center. She returned to Washington DC and held many executive positions within several organizations and was co-founder of DekaTron Corporation. Her career path was unfortunately cut short by her illness, upon which she returned to Hollis, New Hampshire.

She is survived by her husband, CWO 4(P) Steve A. Silva, her mother Brenda E. Williams, brother Philip John Williams, Sister Mrs. Christine Jenkins, and her son Aaron Farmer.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. Her funeral will be held at 11:00am on Saturday in the Congregational Church of Hollis, 3 Monument Square, Hollis. Family will greet friends Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service in the church. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Carol, You were a dear freind, I wish I knew, we only spoke in the fall about you moving here for the winter. I could not get back in touch since. We had some good years together as friends. Love and miss you my friend.

It is thru times like these that we realize how precious life is and begin to appreciate the best of life. My sister-in-law seemed to have known this when I first met her while working at Hanscom AFB. Ever since she has always been positive and warm. We will all miss her great warm smile just for a short while as we will see you again when we all are with the Lord.

Our Auntie Carol was bubbly and always smiling. Every time she saw you, she always wanted to know what was going in your life and how your family was.

Throughout the last few years, she remained brave and determined. She has showen me that you shouldn't just give up, you should fight for want is important to you.

I was lucky enough to be able to visit her and my uncle, when they were together. I always remember her showing me her closet with dresses in with the price tags still on them, then saying dont tell your uncle!!

The last time I saw Auntie Carol, we went to see my Uncle play in a gig. I remember my husband and I saying how amazing she was and she wasn't going to let anything get in the way of her enjoying herself. Auntie Carol seemed to enjoy her night and we all enjoyed being with her. Very special times.

Our thoughts go out to my cousin Aaron, Carol's husband Steve and my Uncle Steve. May they stay strong and remember all the good times

Xxxxxx

Carol was dearly loved especially by our mother Mott and was very much a member of the Farmer family in Kidderminster. She remained a family friend during her illness and we have lovely memories of Carol and Aaron; as she visited us at Christmas. She will always be remembered...
Fondest love from all the Terry family.

Life is but a journey
And you traveled it so well
You climbed the highest mountain
And dove the deepest sea
Now, I think, you dance on clouds
As I look up in sorrowful glee
For what is looking back?
Perhaps it is you smiling down on me

My deepest condolences to you Steve. She was one of my favorite CEOs ever. I think she is smiling down on you now.
God Bless.

Death is not an end, but a journey home. Someday you will be reunited with your loved one. Until then your loved one will live on in your heart. Those you truly love will never be forgotten, I pray the love you feel will give you strength through these difficult times. Have faith and believe the sun will shine again.

Carol was such an upbeat and positive woman, bringing joy to everyone's life that she touched. She was a wonderful role model to her step-daughter, Alex, who loved her dearly. She always set the bar high in everything she attempted. As a result, she accomplished much. I will always treasure the memory of when Alex made a Mother's Day lunch for her grandmother, aunt, Carol, and I. She prepared the lunch herself which consisted of peanut butter and jelly or ham sandwiches. She presented each of us with ribbons she had purchased at the store by herself at age five. Mine was for the “Mother to Be” and Carol's was “Always Do Your Best.” Needless to say, we all had a good laugh, but as Carol confirmed, she always did her best as we have all witnessed from having the honor of her in our lives. May sweet memories bring comfort to her family, especially her son, Aaron.

So go and run free
So go and run free with the angels
Dance around the golden clouds
For the lord has chosen you to be with him
And we should feel nothing but proud
Although he has taken you from us
And our pain a lifetime will last
Your memory will never escape us
But make us glad for the time we did have
Your face will always be hidden
Deep inside our hearts
Each precious moment you gave us
Shall never, ever depart
So go and run free with the angels
As they sing so tenderly
And please be sure to tell them

We will miss you CarolAnn
With Love From Mom & Christine your Sister & Brotherinlaw Alan in England
To take good care of you for me
