Wilson, Carole L. 65 of Peoria, AZ passed away May 27, 2012. Carole was born in Johnstown, PA on March 12, 1947 to David and Dorothy (Buechley) Lewis. She is survived by her loving husband Herbert, and loving sons Geoffrey and Steven. She graduated from Westmont High School in 1965. Carole went on to earn a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968 and a Masters degree from Bowie State University in Maryland. She resided with her husband Herb in the Washington DC suburb of Prince George's County, Maryland for 37 years. She is survived by her loving husband Herbert, and loving sons Geoffrey and Steven. She graduated from Westmont High School in 1965. Carole went on to earn a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968 and a Masters degree from Bowie State University in Maryland. She resided with her husband Herb in the Washington DC suburb of Prince George's County, Maryland for 37 years. Carole was a Reading Specialist in the Prince George's Public Schools where she taught Reading and English for 30 years. She was active with the Marlboro Church's Food Bank in Upper Marlboro, MD. She was a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, Upper Marlboro Troop 1038. She served as the Eagle Scout advisor where she guided many young men through the process of becoming Eagle Scouts. After retiring Carole and her husband moved to Peoria, AZ in 2005. There Carole was active with the singing group the Village Voices of Westbrook Village for 3 years where she served as vice president for 2 years. She was a member of the Phoedalian Women's Club. Carole had a great passion for travel. She traveled extensively in Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America and China. During the last few years she became an avid cruiser. A memorial service is planned for later this year. In lieu flowers, please send donations in Carole's name to the American Cancer Society. Carole will be greatly missed.
