Carolyn Danielle Rozier Davis was born on August 23, 1955 in Jackson, Mississippi to Barney Lee and Jacquelyn Parsons Rozier and passed away on December 13, 2009 in Houston, Texas. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wonderful friend. She loved animals and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, quick wit and kind words for all, She is survived by her son, Clark Donald Davis of Houston, TX and his father, Bryan Davis of Gilmer, TX; step daughter Tiffany Davis Martin and husband Quint Martin of Monroe, LA; one grandchild , Gabriel Martin; half sister, Cindy Schmidt of Ocean Springs, MS; adopted sisters, Brenda Holloway...

She is survived by her son, Clark Donald Davis of Houston, TX and his father, Bryan Davis of Gilmer, TX; step daughter Tiffany Davis Martin and husband Quint Martin of Monroe, LA; one grandchild , Gabriel Martin; half sister, Cindy Schmidt of Ocean Springs, MS; adopted sisters, Brenda Holloway and husband Mike of Conroe, TX and Cecily Varner and husband Keith of Mauriceville, TX and niece, Leslie Murry of Ocean Springs, MS.

Carolyn's lifelong career as a legal secretary in Houston, TX included the firms of Dow, Cogburn and Friedman and Baker Hosteller. Carolyn was an independent sales and honor society director for Mary Kay Cosmetics and loved helping members succeed in their careers. Carolyn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Shreveport, LA, Pelican Chapter, Caring Critters, CEO of International Fund for Horses as well as Den Leader, Webelo Leader and long-time committee member of BSA Troop 652 Mustang Dist. Sam Houston Council. She enjoyed playing the piano, skydiving and the love of friends. Carolyn was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Houston, TX and lived her life for God. Carolyn will be missed by her family and friends and all that knew her.




A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2009 in the Waltrip Chapel. Interment services will be held at a later date in Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Clark's College Fund, mail checks to Susan McCubbin, Morgan Stanley Smith and Barney, 5051 Westheimer, Suite 2100, Houston, TX 77056 – Bright Start Fund, FBO Clark D. Davis.
