Carolyn Rose Lauer Ritenour, 76, passed away with her family by her side on January 18 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 29 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7341 Glenview Dr., NRH, Texas with interment to follow at DFW National Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 28 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Fort Worth, Texas.
Carolyn was more than a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she was the matriarch of the family. As a young girl, her dream of becoming a nurse was indicative of her caring heart. She accomplished these goals and more, for everyone that knew her realized, she could stop the world with a single look.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don Ritenour; sons, Eric, Steve and Brad; and seven grandchildren.

How beautiful Carolyn was I have this picture of her. She was such a good person, always so sweet and kind. We had some wonderful times in High School. My deepest sympathy goes out to Don and the Boys for the loss of their very special wife and mother. God Bless you. Sally Kolkman Brady

Don, we were so sad to hear that Carolyn had passed. What a beautiful picture of her in her nursing uniform. We pray God's peace and strength for you and your family in the following days as you fill your hearts and minds with her forever.
