Carthel C.J. Miller was born February 19, 1924, in Mount Vernon, TX, to parents Clyde A. & Jewel Parlee (Jagger) Miller and passed from this life, November 1, 2012. Carthel was an OKC Firefighter for over 29 years and retired as Assistant Chief in 1975. He was very involved in the Choctaw Church of Christ and served as a deacon. He loved to fish; even when his legs were hurting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip; and brother, Tom. He is survived by his beloved wife, Retha; son, Tony Miller & wife Connie; daughter, Susan Miller; granddaughters, Leann and Mandy & husband Mike; great-granddaughters, Claire and Harper; sisters, Martha and Eva Sue; brother, Norman; and many other family members and friends.
Viewing will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Monday, 9am to 8pm. A graveside will be 10am, Tuesday, November 6, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Firefighters Association, Choctaw Church of Christ, or the charity of your choice.

Thinking of your family today. Lots of happy memories with your family and ours. I'm unable to attend, Larry is out of state and our mother's health makes attending funerals difficult. Betty Martin and her son's Larry and Richard.

Tony, I know this a huge loss, I will be praying that this season of sadness will be a short season, but the memories of your father will last forever. My dad passed away 36 years ago next month and I still think about him nearly every day. Your mother will also be in my prayers. Your family means a lot to me
