Catalina Rivera Rangel was born April 30, 1938, in El Barro, Durango near Gomez Palacios, Durango, Mexico. Catalina came to the United States when she married Pedro Rangel, Sr. and they raised her three sons in Midland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Rangel, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Antonia Rivera of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and her brother Isabel Rivera of Phoenix, Arizona; her children, Roberto Alejandro "Alex" Rangel and his wife Griselda Rangel, of Midland, Texas, Ricardo Rangel and his wife Stephanie Rangel of Austin, Texas, David Rafael Rangel and his wife Maia Isela Rangel of Hutto,...
Catalina Rivera Rangel was born April 30, 1938, in El Barro, Durango near Gomez Palacios, Durango, Mexico.
Catalina came to the United States when she married Pedro Rangel, Sr. and they raised her three sons in Midland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Rangel, Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Antonia Rivera of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and her brother Isabel Rivera of Phoenix, Arizona; her children, Roberto Alejandro "Alex" Rangel and his wife Griselda Rangel, of Midland, Texas, Ricardo Rangel and his wife Stephanie Rangel of Austin, Texas, David Rafael Rangel and his wife Maia Isela Rangel of Hutto, Texas; and her grandchildren, Roberto Abraham Rangel and his wife Monique Rangel, Karina Carrasco Rangel, Errick Cesar Rangel, Stephen Diego Rangel and Ian Noah Rangel.
Viewing will start at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the funeral home. A rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Catalina's unique personality gave her the ability to overcome any obstacle put in her life and her amazing, steadfast determination was a testimony to us all. Without doubt, she is gardening with the angels. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
