ALLEN, Catherine T. (Maguire) of Norwood, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2012.

Mrs. Allen worked for the Norwood Sr. High School, retiring as supervisor of the cafeteria after many years. She was a communicant and volunteer for many years at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Allen; loving mother of Charles Allen and his wife Nanci of E. Sandwich, Mary Prevett and her husband Anthony of Westwood, Elizabeth Kane and her husband Richard of Exeter, NH, and John Allen, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Norfolk; devoted sister of Sr. Mary Mura, SSJ of Bethany Health Care Center, Framingham and St. Catherine of Siena School, Norwood, Betty O'Leary and her husband the late John of Portland, ME, and the late James "Knocko" Maguire. She was also survived by seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at 9:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, and at 10:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 19 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Catherine T. Allen may be made to the Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, MA 01702 (c/o Barbara Shockley).
