It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to this beautiful spirit who touched so many lives with her kindness, generosity and wonderful Irish wit.

Kitty had a storybook childhood on a farm in Bel Air, MD. We could listen for hours as she reminisced and many times had us laughing until tears were in our eyes.

She graduated from St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, MD. She taught in Baltimore until marrying William, her husband of nearly 60 years, eventually moving to Harrisburg where she taught fourth grade at John C. Kunkle Elementary school for many years. She left this job that she loved so much when she was diagnosed with cancer and immediately regretted her decision, feeling great in a very short time.

She leaves behind her daughters Sheila Kelly Fitzpatrick of Middletown and Maura Fitzpatrick, of Harrisburg, along with granddaughter Molly and great-granddaughter McKenna of Hershey and Connor Fitzpatrick of Harrisburg.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband William Bernerd Fitzpatrick, parents Rose and Ralph Kelly and brother James Kelly and survived by sisters Elizabeth Caslin of Lutherville, MD, Rosemary Lyons of Bel Air MD and brother Francis Patrick Kelly, also of Bel Air.

Kitty had many interests, reading British Mysteries, writing poetry, listening to classical music, Roy Orbison, or laughing at Jack Handy quotes. She will be missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.

Arrangements under the direction of Neill Funeral Home, Harrisburg, PA.
