Catherine C. Luther, 69, of Kingwood, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was a cultured and intelligent woman, who studied both journalism and anthropology. Catherine worked as a journalist at the Albuquerque Journal before she quit to stay home and raise her girls. She always put her family first. Catherine was an expert seamstress in both clothing and quilting. She had a strong work ethic. Catherine was loved more than she knew. She had friends she had never met and was admired by everyone who knew her. Catherine loved her cats, a lot. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Luther. She is survived by...

Catherine worked as a journalist at the Albuquerque Journal before she quit to stay home and raise her girls. She always put her family first. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Luther. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Porras and husband Eric, Kristin Dumas and husband John; mother, Marguerite Ingenhutt; siblings, Barbara Ingenhutt, Pete Ingenhutt and wife Debbie, Jan Hyer and husband Bruce; nieces and nephews, Steve Ingenhutt, Barbara Ingenhutt, Jeff Cox, Ben Luther and wife Nikki, Jesse Luther and wife Melyssa.

Because Catherine was so generous with charitable giving, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
