Catherine Williams, 97, of Sheboygan, entered her heavenly home Monday, May 13, 2013 at Pine Haven Christian Home.
Catherine was born May 2, 1916 in Sheboygan to Nicholas and Tannie (Buteyn) Dekker.
She attended Sheboygan Christian School and later attended Sheboygan Vocational School.
On August 20, 1937 Catherine and Chester Williams were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1991.
Catherine loved to sew, garden, bake, clean and was a wonderful homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church and was active in the Women's Society. She loved to spend time with her family and supported their activities.
Catherine is survived by her children, Richard (Donna) Williams of Sheboygan, Carrie (Tom) Jolke of Sheboygan, Rosalie (Rich) TeLindert of Cedar Grove, Randall (Beth) Williams of the Town of Sheboygan, Kenneth (Karie) Williams of Pewaukee; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Chris Dekker of Grand Rapids, MI; and other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Chester, Catherine was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Laura Ann.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Ballhorn Chapels at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Larry Meyer, pastor of First Christian Reformed Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Catherine's name for Pine Haven Christian Home.
The family of Catherine would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Home for the Christian love, care and compassion shown to her.
