Cecile P. Coughlin, 76, of Manchester, died on March 10, 2017 at the Elliot Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester on July 5, 1940 the daughter of Ralph and Jeanne (Loranger) Martel. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City and was educated in the local school system.
She was employed for many years as the supply manager at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester. Cecile enjoyed the outdoors and the time she spent tending to the wide variety of flowers in her garden. She also loved traveling, especially her vacation trips to Florida. Family and friends were important to Cecile but caring for her children and grandchildren far surpassed everything else in her life. She will fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband James Coughlin, in January 2010.
Members of her family include her sons Daniel Coughlin, Gary Coughlin and Brian Coughlin and her daughter Kelly Pelletier as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday March 20 from 4 to 7 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Memorial Service was celebrated on Tuesday March 21 at 10 am at St. Pius X Church 575 Candia Rd. in Manchester. Urn burial will be private.
