Exquisite singer and dancer, admired teacher and extraordinary mother and wife, Cecilia was an activist for internationalism, pacifism and social justice. Her sincere concern for the happiness of others was evident to all. Cecilia will be missed intensely by her son David and close friends and family in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. David, I ws so sorry to read of your Mother's passing. I met your Dad through the Dundas Tennis Club many years ago and your Mom through the DVSA where she was a valued pupil, even at age 97. We had many conversations about art materials and she was always enthusiastic. She was incredibly kind and I will miss her very much. Janet Parker.

David and family I and all local New Democrats will be sad to learn of your mother's passing. Her dedication and passion for social justice made her a memorable person to many in the greater Hamilton community,
While I have not had as much personal contact with her over the last ten years thanks to my own health issues, it was always inspirational to talk politics and peace with her and your father. I regret that the occasions were not as frequent as I should have made the time to do.
Would love to hear from you
Best wishes

Cecelia, we always enjoyed your visits and are sad there will not be any more. Listening to you playing piano at 97 was amazing, especially as you always included a Scottish tune for us. We will always remember you.
