Obituary

Our beloved mother, Celeste Mae Perry, 89, passed away June 30, 2014 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home of Lubbock. She was born Jan. 25, 1925 to George and Eula Morgan of Crossett, AR. In July 1945 she married Walter Perry Jr., in Paris TX, who served in World War II. Their marriage lasted 33 years until his death in 1978. Our mom was always a hard worker and a wonderful nurturing mom to her family, a great cook; she could make the best corn bread dressing and chocolate & pecan pies. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Walter Perry Jr and Vern Yanzer; four brothers, G. D., Curtis, Oliver Lee and Red Morgan; and sister, Isabel. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, three daughters and one son, Connie Lambert (Dale), Georgene Robert (Ronnie), Paula Winkler (Larry) and Kenneth Perry (Marcia); 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her family extends thanks to the staff of Heritage Oaks Nursing Home for their professional and loving care. Special thanks to Hospice South Plains, you are wonderful.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11 am in Resthaven Memorial Park. Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
