Celestino "Chet" S. Carocci

Celestino Sylvester Carocci, 96, of Fairmount, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to Mariano and Livia (Landi) Carocci. Celestino was a retiree of New Process Gear. He began playing professionally at the age of 17, when he started playing both the piano and organ in local bands. His longest association was with the Royal Vagabonds. He volunteered playing the piano at Iroquois and several other area nursing homes. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgianna (Brown) Carocci in 1997, and by his son, Richard Carocci in 2005, his siblings, Edward Carocci, Mary Arace, Palma Luckette and Susie Fedele.
He is survived by his son; John (Patricia) Carocci, of Liverpool, daughter; Sharon (Frank) Rachetta, of Liverpool, daughter-in-law; Joan Carocci, of Geddes, 8 grandchildren; John and David (Concetta) Carocci, Roxanne (John) Stever, Rick, Kim and Michael Carocci, Wendy (Rob) Guarante and Jackie Rachetta, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 am Tuesday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay. Condolences may be offered at www.bagozzitwins.com.

Not sure if you'd remember me but i worked for Dr. Soler back when your mom was a patient. Your parents were such wonderful people & always so good to me. Just wanted to pass along my condolences to you both. Hope you find peace in knowing they are once again together.
