Charles Everett Taylor Jr., 83, of Houston, Texas passed away May 13, 2017.
He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on April 3, 1934 to Charles Everett Taylor Sr. and Alice Mary Gagnon Taylor. Charles grew up in Attleboro, Massachusetts, he graduated from Attleboro High School class of 1952. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was stationed in Guantanamo, Cuba during the Korean Conflict. Cuba is where he met and married his beloved wife of 61 years, Isis Estela Cisneros Martinez Taylor. Charles was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 35 years. He also coached little league baseball and football. He was a member of East Harris County Precinct 2 and was involved in the Senior Olympics. Charles served on the Safety Committee and was a Lifetime Committeeman with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Charles loved all sports and he was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles Everett Taylor Sr. and Alice Mary Gagnon Taylor.
He is survived by beloved wife, Isis Taylor; daughter, Alice Garza and husband Bernardino; son, Frank Taylor; grandson, James Taylor; granddaughter, Annaleigh Taylor; great-grandson, Landon Taylor and great-granddaughter, Skylar Taylor.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. The prayer service will be celebrated Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
