Betty, Susan and family, I just heard the news about Charles and wanted to reach out to all of you! This is Chris (Rose) Harriger, your childhood neighbor and friend from Perry Street! I actually work at Randolph College now so live fairly close to you again. Isn't it a small world? I wish I would have heard about Charles earlier as I would have loved to attend the celebration of his wonderful life! I want you to know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time! I loved Charles and know he is a wonderful place! My father, George Rose, died several years ago and I still miss him terribly. I just received your contact information through a mutual friend so will reach out to you to connect soon!
All my love and prayers! Christine Rose Harriger

Mr. Anderson had such a positive influence of my life beginning in my childhood. He baptized me at the age of eight. Even after moving away we kept in touch. He loved my mom. Mary Johnston, and especially the meals that she prepared. Mr. Anderson loved Ware Neck and the whole of Gloucester. Fishing was one of his passions. I had the pleasure of having him stay with me on several occasions. He loved the Lord and it was evident in whatever he did. He as a good and faithful servant. Now he is with the angels and we rejoice knowing this. Mr. Anderson will be missed. Jenny Kigans

I was saddened to hear of Charles passing. He was our family's pastor for over 15 years at Westside Baptist. He fought a long and hard fight. He has been in my prayers daily. Prayers continue for Betty as she continues to fight her own health. Susan and Betty so sorry for your loss. He was a great pastor and worked very hard at his calling. May he RIP with no more pain, but receive God's glory in heaven.

One of the greatest men to ever grace the pulpit. He seemed to have grown more powerful as he aged. He may have had a frail body, but he possessed a powerful voice that touched the hearts of many. Our prayers of comfort are with you during this time.
