ANDERSON, Charles Reese, 83, of Manakin-Sabot, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Millicent C. Anderson, the mother of his three children. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" Y. Anderson; his children, Charles "Chip" Reese Anderson Jr., his wife, Tracy; their three children, Cole, Will and Jeb; Melinda Lassiter and her husband, Gary; their two children, Annie and Adam, Alyssa Pearson and her husband, John; and their three children, Andrew, Mary Abbott and Thomas
Reese was in the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Korea. He was employed by C & P Telephone Company/Bell Atlantic/Verizon, retiring from the Marketing Department after 39 years of service. Since 2013 he had been a member of Gayton Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060. Reese will be laid to rest in the family plot at Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery, Chesapeake, Va. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneral homeparham.com.
