HEAD, Charles Wayne, 70, of Prattville, passed away Friday March 27, 2015. Visitation and funeral services were held at the Prattville Music Hall 935 North Memorial Drive. Burial with Military Honors were held Monday March 30th at 12:30 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 HWY 119, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
Mr. Head was retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the Air Force, he continued his government service by working with Civil Service. He was guitarist and loved country and western music.
He performed regularly for many years at the Prattville Music Hall. Mr. Head is survived by his wife, Lois Head; three daughters, Gena (Joe) Hernandez, of Austin, Tx, Wanda Cortez of Mascouth, Il., Erika (Bryan) Vela of Abilene, Tx.; one son, Jeremy Head of Prattville; one brother, Billy Head of Dothan; grandchildren, Adrianna Hernandez, Joey Hernandez, Justin Blackmon, Nathaniel Vela and Zachary Vela.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. My you take comfort in knowing that Wayne touched many lives including ours. We have many fond memories of our time spent together at Randolph AFB. He will be missed, but is always in our heart.
