ADAMS, Charles D. age 89 of Beavercreek passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Heartland of Beavercreek. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years Lois E. Adams; parents, Leslie and Lulua "Anderson" Adams; 2 brothers; Ernest Adams and James Adams; 2 sisters, Lena Mae Payne and Dorothy Dailey. He is survived by one son; Jerry T. (Barbara) Adams; daughters, Carolyn J. (Daniel) Dyke, Phyllis A. (Denzil) Dykes. 9 grandchildren; Cari, Tracy, Christopher, Scott, Brian, Justin, Jason, J.D. and Adam; 10 great grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Alyson, Hannah, Aryaunna, Brendan, Nicholas, Gabriela, Ethan, and Austin. He is also survived by one brother; Roy Lee ( Mary) Adams of Danville KY and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a 29 year employee of NCR as a job setter. He was a Life Time member of the VFW Post # 2800, where he was the canteen manager for over 10 years. Charles was a WWII veteran, who took pride in defending his country. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL 3970 Dayton- Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. with Pastor Donald Payne officiating. Interment will follow services at Valley View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5PM-8PM on Friday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Heartland of Beavercreek and to recognize the care and kindness of Heartland Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3131 S. Dixie Dr. Suite 221, Dayton, Ohio 45439. Condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
