Obituary

Andresakes, Charles N. 94 of Oviedo, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2013. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Carey Hand Cox Parker, 1350 West Fairbanks, Winter Park, FL., 32789. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 10 am at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King St, Oviedo, FL 32765, burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL. Mr. Andresakes served as a Staff Sergeant in the Field Artillery of the United States Army during World War II.  He was the first Baltimore transfer to the Orlando area for the Glen L. Andresakes, Charles N. 94 of Oviedo, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2013. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Carey Hand Cox Parker, 1350 West Fairbanks, Winter Park, FL., 32789. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 10 am at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King St, Oviedo, FL 32765, burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL. Mr. Andresakes served as a Staff Sergeant in the Field Artillery of the United States Army during World War II.  He was the first Baltimore transfer to the Orlando area for the Glen L. Martin Company in 1956 as the Plant Layout Engineer.  He was known for his volunteer service to many organizations including the Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital where he received the Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2006.  He also served as the President of the Orlando Amateur Athletic Association for three terms and was the Director and former President of the Central Florida Sports Hall of Fame.  He served his previous church, the College Park United Methodist Church, as the Director of Lay Speaking and was on the Board of Lay Ministry.
