As a youth, Charles attended a Cabrifinn Club meeting at Saint Finbar Church in Burbank where he met his lovely wife, Joanne Subcasky (Sandusky, OH). They were married at that same church on Valentine's Day in 1953.

He had a tremendous love and respect for God, abundant love for his family, loved piloting a plane, spending time in the outdoors camping and in his later years, sitting down with a good book.

Charles was actively involved with the Patricians group at Saint Patrick's in North Hollywood and the Joslyn Senior Center in Burbank.

Charles is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne (Subcasky) Andrews; five sons, Ronald Andrews (Sandy), William Andrews (Diana), John Andrews (Jamie), Charles Andrews (Lori) and Michael Andrews (Stacy); and two daughters, Martha Johnsen (Steinar) and Laura Giron (John). He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren.

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Joanne and the entire Andrews family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have know Joanne and Charles for about 10 or 12 years. We met at the Joslyn Adult Center. We had become very good friends and also someone that you could count on if you needed help. I'm so sorry that I could not attend the mass and funeral, but I was out of town at a convention and didn't get back home until late on Saturday night. Charles was very special and will truly be missed. My love and prayers are with all of the Andrews Family.

Martha and family, I have wonderful memories of your dad. I talked to him on the phone a few years ago and he sounded like he did when we were young and playing together almost on a daily basis. Your dad even took back to the airport back in 1997 which was my last visit to Burbank and he still looked as he did prior to our move here to Oklahoma in 1978. I love all of you and send my prayers to you and your family and I am very thankful of all the wonderful memories of our childhood of coming down to your house to play and always enjoying the time we spent with your dad and mom.
