Charles F. Appman

January 12, 1919 - August 26, 2013

Charles F. Appman, 94 of Wexford, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013. He was the loving husband of the late, Jane L. (Malcher) Appman. Beloved father of Wayne (Karen) Appman, Bill (Lynn) Appman and Wendy Jane (Greg) McCalip. Also survived by six grandchildren; Zach, Will, Tim, Melanie, Jessica and Chance. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, William and two sisters, Dorothy and Laverne. Charles was a proud veteran of the Unites States Army where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a survivor of the Malmedy Massacre.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8pm in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Twp, 412-364-4444. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am in the funeral home with interment to follow in Allegheny Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh, Pa 15237.
