Charles "Bud" Banks, 80, Grandview, Mo., passed away August 11, 2012. Memorial visitation 2 to 3:30 p.m. with service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Grandview. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Vitas Hospice or the American Cancer Society . Bud was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Cainsville, Mo., to Orley Joseph and Ruby Hart Banks. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Bud started his career with Hallmark Cards in building engineering and retired after 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Lake of the Ozarks and being in the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cheryl and grandson, Evan. Survivors include his beloved wife of a lifetime, Gracie; son, Ken and wife Suzan and son, John and wife Sandy; daughter, Linda and husband Dale; brother, Joe and wife Lisa. He was a loving PaPa and Grandpa to 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
